Terms of use

Last updated 23 October 2026

1. Who we are

Howfen Fitness is a free gym and food tracker owned and run by Howfen Studio (www.howfen.studio). By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. The service

Howfen Fitness is free to use. We may add, change or remove features, and we may pause or stop the service. If we plan to shut it down we will give you reasonable notice so you can export your data.

You must be 16 or over to use Howfen Fitness.

3. Not medical advice

Howfen Fitness gives general fitness and nutrition information. Calorie and protein targets, programmes, strength levels and meal photo estimates are approximate and are not medical, dietary or professional advice.

Talk to a doctor or qualified professional before starting a new exercise or diet plan, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, an injury, or a history of disordered eating. Stop exercising and get help if you feel pain, faintness or shortness of breath. You train at your own risk.

4. Your account

Keep your password safe and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens on it. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

5. Your content

You own what you add: workouts, food logs, measurements and photos. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can run the app for you, as described in our privacy policy. Only upload photos you have the right to use.

6. Acceptable use

Please do not:

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

7. Liability

We work hard to keep Howfen Fitness accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” without guarantees that it will be error free or always online. As the service is free, to the extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or injury resulting from how you use the information in the app.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Carrying on using the app after that means you accept the new terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
